I spent my weekend in Boston running around, trying to see all of the landmarks and attractions in the city. By the end of the day, I needed a relaxing way to unwind and enjoy myself. Liberty Fleet of Tall Ships sunset sailing cruise around Boston Harbor seemed like the perfect way to do that. I arrived on the ship, grabbed a drink from the bar with my voucher and picked out the perfect spot where I wanted to sit.
Once we got further out, it was time to raise the sails. The crew said we can help raise them and I’ve never done anything like that before, so I figured I’d give it a try. There’s a bunch of people participating, how hard can it be? Wrong! You need some serious strength! I know I am a weak individual but for all these people to be pulling the rope and I still needed to give a hard tug… I give the crew a lot of credit. I thought that was a fun addition to the experience and everyone else seemed to enjoy it as well. Afterwards, it was back to my seat and cocktail!
The Boston skyline from the harbor was stunning. You can’t get a view like that anywhere else! During the two hours on the ship, I took in the sights, had a few drinks, chatted with my friend and even made new ones. It was the relaxing end to a jam packed day that I was looking for.
When the sunset came, I didn’t know where to look first. We got lucky with an amazing sunset, filled with pinks and purples. It was beautiful to see over the harbor and skyline. Even after the shipped dock, I was still trying to take photos. It was so alluring, I couldn’t help myself!
*Thank you Liberty Fleet of Tall Ships for brining me on your tour. My opinions, as always are my own.
