I only had a weekend to see all the sights in Boston and didn’t know where to begin. Should I do a trolley tour? Duck tour? Or just walk around on foot? Then, I came across Boston’s Super Tours which had it all! I got “the works” ticket which allowed me two days on the hop on & hop off trolley, super duck harbor splash tour and a bonus ticket that granted entry to one of the museums or a boat cruise along the Charles River. This is exactly what I was looking for.
I decided to start off with the trolley. There are three different loops that it rides along; the Boston Loop, Seaport Loop and Harvard Loop in Cambridge. I decided to start with the Boston Loop and work my way to the others. All of the drivers were fun and energetic as they drove us around, telling us about the history and facts of each attraction as we passed it.
Eventually, I got to the Inner Harbor where the Duck Tour begins, so I had to hop off there! This part of the tour brings you around the harbor in a “duck boat”. We got a completely different view of the city and saw some great sights. Our captain was very funny, entertaining us as he informed us on what we were looking at. He also joked if we happen to fall overboard, Boston’s Harbor is incredibly clean. Good to know because walking around in the summer heat, I was tempted to jump in!
After getting back on the trolley, I observed the sights for a while and then hopped off at Fenway Park, as I knew that was a must! I got caught up in all the sightseeing that before I knew it, the end of the day approached. I still had so much that I wanted to see! I was glad that I had the two-day pass so I could finish up the next day.
The next day, I walked along the Freedom Trail, stopped for some delicious food and later planned on taking the Cambridge Loop trolley but I completely lost track of time. I underestimated how much there is to see in Boston! Before I knew it, it was time for me to catch my train back to New York. I couldn’t leave without trying a lobster roll, so I ran to one of the markets and got one to go. You can’t beat chowing down on a lobster roll during the ride home!
*Thank you Boston Super Tours for providing my tour. As always, my opinions are my own.
