One of the many things that Bali is known for, is its beautiful scenery, so I decided to stay in a resort slap bang in the middle of some of Bali’s most beautiful terrain. The Ubud Dedari Villas are close enough to the city center, but yet secluded away from all the noise and chaos of the city’s busy town. When I would step out from my room, I felt as if I was deep in the jungle, meanwhile the city was literally only a 15 minute drive away. After my sometimes exhausting travels it felt like the perfect place to relax at.
On the few occasions that I felt the urge to go into the city center, I took advantage of the free shuttle that left at set times throughout the day. I must admit that I didn’t leave the property too much, simply because relaxing at the infinity pool felt like pure bliss to me!
I did venture off the resort one day in order to check some of the nearby attractions such as Tegenungan Waterfall, which was only a 15 minute drive away and Goa Gajah (also known as the elephant cave). I walked along a trail that led to the temple, so I could have a nice little nature walk, instead of hopping in a cab.
The actual room I stayed in had a balcony outside that had an absolutely stunning view. I ate my breakfast outside on the balcony every morning, with nothing to disturb me. I just relaxed in peace, listening to the birds chirping. It was the perfect start to my day.
There wasn’t a restaurant on the property, but they had a nice selection from the room service menu, which ranged from traditional Indonesian dishes to Western food. I rarely order room service, so this was a nice change! It helped that everything I tried was absolutely delicious, which definitely suppressed my urge to go into the city. It was hard to leave when I had everything I needed at the resort!!
**Thank you Ubud Dedari Villas for hosting me. As always my opinions are my own.
